Our clinic offers same day service for denture relines and denture repairs to minimize the amount of time you are without your dentures.

Most denture acrylics are remarkably resilient material, but they can break under undue pressure or stress caused by ill fitting, excessive and poor bite forces. As dentures age and become poorly fitting, they can also be stressed by continual flexing while in use, which results in small cracks that can fracture over time.

Never attempt to repair or alter your dentures yourself. Improperly repaired dentures will not last long and may cause irritation due to the poor fit and have an adverse effect on your overall health.

Charing Cross Implant denture clinic is Brantford’s full-time denture clinic with an onsite state-of-the-art dental laboratory, with the ability to provide denture repairs to get you back to eating and smiling as soon as possible, usually denture repairs can be done in a few hours, most denture repairs are same day!

This consists of adding new base material to the tissue bearing surface of the denture so that the fit of the denture is more precise and comfortable in your mouth. In most cases, denture relines can be completed same day* with a pre-scheduled appointment.

In the case of immediate dentures when you are experiencing issues with the fit of the immediate dentures due to gum shrinkage following your extractions a temporary material called a tissue conditioner will be applied to your denture.  This material is temporary only and should only be worn in your dentures until you reach the approximately 8 to 12 months following your extraction time frame when your denture reline can be completed.

This procedure includes the replacement of the entire pink portion of the denture except for the teeth.

Denture rebases are generally completed when the teeth are still in good condition but the body of the denture contains stains, holes or discoloration or the patient would like a newer looking dentures without having to replace their entire denture. In most cases, this procedure can be completed same day* with a pre-scheduled appointment.

How long have you had your dentures?

Over time your gums and jawbones undergo changes. To get maximum suction, and the best fit and comfort possible, your denture may require relining. Relining consists of adding new denture base (pink) material to the tissue side of a denture to ensure a snug fit, improving retention and stability. This can be done in 7 hours in our clinic.

This is useful when you are happy with the appearance of your dentures, but they have become a little loose due to changes in the underlying bone structure.

According to some insurance companies and most dental professionals, dentures are recommended to be replaced every five to seven years.
